Gerald Lee "Scooter" Weeks

Gerald Lee "Scooter" Weeks, 82, passed away on September 26th at Gordon Hospice House surrounded by family.

He was born February 2nd, 1943, in Augusta Georgia to the late Thomas Weeks Sr. and Elsie Cash Weeks. He was preceded in death by his brother Tommy Weeks Jr. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Charles R. Ware DD-865.

He retired from the textile industry as a knitting machine technician of 50 years. He enjoyed golfing, boating and playing pickle ball.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years Joyce Caskaddon Weeks, children Brad Weeks (Rhonda) of Conover, Shannon Jordan (John) of Statesville. Four grandchildren, Kayla Jordan (James) of Conway South Carolina, Krista Jordan of Palmetto, Florida, Kassidy Bright (Devan) of Avon Indiana, Kendall Weeks of Tennessee. Great grandsons Landon, Liam, and Levi. In addition, he is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside service will be held at Fern Hill Baptist Church on Monday, September 29th, 2025, at 3:00pm. Rev. Jesse Stroud and Rev. Beau Mills will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Caskaddon, Scott Caskaddon, Lynn Caskaddon, Shane Caskaddon, David Caskaddon, Aaron Caskaddon and Bobby Caskaddon (Honorary). Interment will be following in the Fern Hill Baptist Church cemetery. Receiving of friends will be following service at the graveside.
