Gerald R. Walton Sr

Gerald Rubin Walton Sr., 83, of Statesville, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Gerald was born on July 15, 1933 to the late William Walton and Ada Walton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Walton and brother, Doug Walton. He is survived by son, Gerald R. Walton Jr. "Bubba" and wife Lori of Statesville; daughter, Terre Walton of Statesville; sister, Nancy Knight of Lancaster, SC, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Gerald will always be remembered for being a loving father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends at Troutman Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m. that evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Walton’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
