Gerald Luther Starnes

Gerald Luther Starnes, 31, of Troutman passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. He was born September 7, 1978, to the late Robert Eural Starnes and Helen Ann Jacobs Gaskins Starnes of North, SC. He was a 1996 graduate of Mooresville High School and was a welder for Southeast Tubular Products of Statesville. Gerald was a loving husband, father and brother. He was a humble and hard working man who was loved by many, especially by his nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, Gerald is survived by his wife, Margaret Rainey Starnes; his son, Bailey Xavier Starnes, of Sherrills Ford; two daughters, Marie Locke Starnes, of Sherrills Ford, and Trinity Kaitlyn Starnes, of Troutman; and by two sisters, Jacqueline Marie Hancock and Angela S. Strickland, both of Orangeburg, S.C. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jason Wayne Starnes. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 2 at Troutman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at New Perth A.R.P. Church in Troutman with the Rev. William Anderson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Berea Baptist Church Cemetery.
