Gerald Conrad Bromstead

Gerald Conrad Bromstead, 83, of Statesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Gerald was born October 30,1942, in Denver, Colorado to the late Clarence Sidney Bromstead and Alice Marie Coffin Bromstead. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Colorado Boulder and worked as a Sales Executive for Weyerhaeuser Lumber Company.

Those left to cherish Gerald’s memory are his wife of 62 years, Kathleen Ruth Hibbert Bromstead; sons, Brad Bromstead (Anne) of New Hampshire, and Eric Bromstead (Jo Bressendorff) of Denmark; and four grandchildren, Carly Bromstead, Finn Bromstead, Elliot Bromstead and Esther Ruby Bromstead.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville NC 28625.

Arrangements for Mr. Bromstead are in the care of Troutman Funeral Home.
