Georgia Maxine (Campbell) Carpenter

Georgia Maxine Campbell Carpenter, 92, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021.

Georgia was born on December 7, 1928 in Yadkin County and was the daughter of the late Roscoe Campbell and Pearl Groce Campbell. Georgia served as the secretary at Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church for many years. She was a member at First Baptist Church in Mooresville for over 40 years where she enjoyed singing in the choir and participating in the senior adult group. She also played many a happy game with her domino friends. Georgia always enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home on Lake Norman.

In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, William Keith Carpenter, two sisters, and three brothers.

She is survived by one daughter, Denise Davison (Meredith) of Charlotte, one son, Michael Keith Carpenter (Jill) of Atlantic Beach, NC, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two brothers, Byron Campbell (Grace Ann) and Graham Campbell.

A visitation will be held at Troutman Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 22 from 10:30 to 11:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
