Georgia Beams

Oct. 28, 1942 - March 17, 2016 Georgia Rae Beams (Sked), born October 28, 1942 in Stockton, Ca, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 surrounded by her friends and family. Georgia grew up in Garden Grove, Ca. where she met the love of her life, Fred Beams (deceased April 2014). Together they raised two girls in Mission Viejo, Ca. She worked 26 plus years as Medical Office Administrator and Research Director at Allergy & Asthma Associates in Mission Viejo, Ca. and stopped working the day before she and Fred moved to Troutman, NC. Georgia, with her beautiful smile, was known for her love of travel, appreciation of food and drink and love of entertaining family and friends. She was enthusiastically involved in her community and local government. Both Georgia and Fred loved their new life and home in NC where they made many wonderful friends. They will both be terribly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Tracy Hunt and Amy Beams; sisters, Stephanie Meroney and Karen Kling; brother, Frank Steiner; and beloved dog, Bella. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at New Perth Cemetery in Troutman. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Town of Troutman, P.O. Box 26, Troutman, NC 28166 with memo line of "Fred & Georgia Beams." Donations will purchase a park bench in the Town of Troutman Stroll way and a Memorial Brick at the Troutman Library in their honor.
