Gary Lynn Compton

Gary Lynn Compton, 62, of Troutman, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Gary was born on October 6, 1958 and was the son of the late Calvin Coolidge Compton and Myrtle Sue Morrison Compton. He was a graduate of South Iredell High School and in 1977 was in a severe automobile accident. He later attended and graduated from Mitchell College.  He attended Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church of Statesville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Judy C. Watt.

Gary is survived by one brother, Ronald C. “Ron” Compton (Brenda) of Statesville, one sister, Susan C. Deal Sampsel (Harry) of Statesville and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted 10:30 am Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptists Church Cemetery with Rev. Brian St. John officiating.
