Mr. Frank Gene Johnson, 85, of Harmony, passed away, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Johnson was born February 24, 1935 in Wilkes County and was the son of the late Albert Leo Johnson and Lena Roberts Johnson. He was a graduate of Union Grove High School and on December 22, 1956, he married the late Nylene Templeton Johnson, who passed away, September 9, 2017. He was retired from J.P. Stevens after 44 ½ years and was a member of Union Grove Christian Church. He loved the Lord, fishing, his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren

He is survived by two daughters, Loretta Jean Cline (Shannon) of Harmony, Anita J. Steele (Steve) of Harmony; four grandchildren, Barry Anderson (Leah), Brandon Anderson (Sherry), Justin Barnes, Morgan Williams (Jordan) and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Sheila Annette Johnson, two brothers, John Allen Johnson and Guy William Johnson and one sister, Josephine J. Johnson.

Mr. Johnson will lie in state on Sunday from 12:30-2:30pm at the Union Grove Christian Church. A private family graveside service will follow in the church cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the entire staff on 5N at Iredell Memorial Hospital, especially Connor for their love and care for 17 days.
