Mr. Filo Pinkney Robinson, 89, of Mooresville, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. He was born in Lincoln County on January 15, 1922 to the late Ethel and Callie Drum Robinson and, before his retirement, was a fixer with Burlington Mills. He is survived by his wife, Hallie Johnson Robinson, of the home; a daughter, Judy R. Sipes (Jim) of Mooresville; a sister, Bernice R. Caldwell of Conover; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Robinson, Banner Robinson, and Verella R. Caldwell; and four brothers, Dennis, Otis, Marvin and Bartley Robinson. Visitation for Mr. Robinson will be held at the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at Iredell Memorial Park with the Rev. Jamie Hamrick and the Rev. Chris Fitzgerald officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rocky Mount United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1739 Perth Road, Mooresville, N.
