Ernest Dean Josey

Ernest Dean Josey, 68, of Troutman, NC, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Ernest was born on March 6, 1958, to the late Lonnie Josey Sr. and Margaret Kerley Josey Williams. He attended Iredell County Schools and worked for Fischbein Corporation for 15 years. Ernest was an avid NASCAR fan and found great joy in fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He cherished the simple pleasures of nature and enjoyed many outdoor activities throughout his life.

Ernest was preceded in death by his older brother, Timothy James Josey.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna Josey, his son, James Josey, his eldest brother, Lonnie Josey Jr. (Marsha Josey), and numerous nieces and nephews.
