Ellen Behrens

Ellen Campbell Behrens, 73, of Troutman, found eternal rest on the morning of Wednesday, October 9, 2024.  She was born on July 4, 1951 in Nassau County, NY to George Campbell and Gertrude Kennel Campbell.  “Mimi”, as she was affectionately known, is survived by her husband, Richard of 56 years, and their four children; daughter, Kim; daughter, Kristen; son, Richard; and daughter, Elizabeth; along with her sister, Lois Froeder.  In addition to her parents, Ellen joins her sisters, Trudy, Judy, and Madeline.

"Mimi" was devoted to her six grandchildren, Tori, Zach, Alex, Denny, Amanda, and Sarah, and her three great-grandchildren, Reilly, Austin, and Maverick.

Mom celebrated life with her annual girl's trip with her daughters.  She loved to cook and document recipes.  And she enjoyed gardening.

There will be a celebration of life at a future date, and memorials in her name may be made to the donor’s choice.
