Drew Cascardi

Drew Cascardi, 60, of Statesville, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Gordon Hospice House following a short battle with cancer.

Drew was a native of New York and was born January 27, 1959. He was the son of Sarah Costanzo of Cary, NC and the late Richard Cascardi. He was a graduate of Hewlett High School and attended Sullivan College and the University of Albany. On March 2, 2003, he married the love of his life, Denise Ziegler Cascardi. Drew and Denise moved to Statesville NC in 2005 and Drew built a business as an Insurance Broker. He enjoyed golf, playing with his friends in the “Shootout” and “Fun Bunch” groups at the Statesville Country Club. He also enjoyed his guns, was an avid New York Giants fan and especially loved hosting gatherings with friends, cooking and entertaining everyone he met.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a sister, Donna Halk (James) of Cary, NC, four nieces, Olivia Halk, Kristin Cascardi, Kaitlin Cascardi, Kathryn Lee, mother-in-law, Roni Ziegler, father-in-law, Michael Ziegler, brother-in-law, Justin Ziegler (Lisa) and grandmother-in-law, Mildred Bloom. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Cascardi in 2011.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel. The family will meet with friends following the service.
