Dr. Charles Franklin Robinson, 81, of Troutman, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center.
He was born on January 1, 1936 in Charlotte, NC to the late James Luther and Estelle Marshall Robinson.
Charles was in the last graduating class at Old Tech High School in Charlotte, N.C. He then graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his D.D.S. from Carolina Dental School. Dr. Robinson retired after 35 years of dentistry in Charlotte, NC. He also served in the U.S. Army as a Captain.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Sidale Thompson Robinson; his sister, Dorothy Jackson (Charles) of Waxhaw, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Chad and Cameron Robinson, one sister and two brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at New Perth ARP Church on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Sherer and Rev. Dan Hazen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dr. Robinson’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
