Douglas Lambert

Douglas Lambert 83 of Matheny, WV, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Statesville, NC.

Born in McDowell County, WV on November 18, 1942, he was the son of the late Frank Lambert and Sylvania Thompson Lambert. 

In addition to his parents, Douglas was also preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. He was a hard-working coal miner and loved his family. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Gloria Jean Lambert of WV; daughters, Woodrena Keaton (Shane) and Devin Cook both of W.V.; sons, Douglas M Lambert (Emily) and James “Skeezy” Lambert (Mandy Brown) both of Statesville NC. Douglas is further survived by his grandchildren, Cody, Ashley, Jeremy, Tyler, Kevin and Rebecca; his great-grandchildren: Kailey, Jacey, Colesin and Aleeah.
