Dorothy Tedder

Dorothy Annie Mills Tedder, 80, of Statesville, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Dorothy was born in Iredell County on October 23, 1944, to the late Brinkley Mills and Irene Bass Mills. She was a graduate of Statesville High School and a member of Calvary Community Church. She enjoyed puzzle books, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing Yahtzee and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper James Tedder, Jr.; brother, Robert Mills; sister, Colleen McCann.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; daughter, Lorie Evans (Kyle Brock), son, Anthony Tedder, daughter, Jackie Douglass (Justin); and grandsons, Zachary Evans, Nicholas Evans, Camren Douglass, and Colten Douglass.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 17 at Oakwood Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Jeff Coley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
