DORIS ANN BEATTY TALBERT, 88, passed March 19, 2025, at Gordon Hospice House after years of declining health. She was preceded in death by her son William Howard (Billy) Talbert, and husband Clifton Eugene (Jack) Talbert, brother Jerry Feimster Beatty, and parents Howard and Lina Beatty. She is survived by her brother Norman Beatty (Ruby), sister-in-law Selene Beatty (Jerry), brother Allen Beatty (Gayle). Additionally, many nieces and nephews.
Doris Ann retired from her career at the United States Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service, ASCS, where she began working upon graduation from Celeste Henkel High School supporting the farmers she loved in Iredell County. She later worked for Interstate Bolt and Supply.
She was highly active and committed to her nearly lifelong membership at Monticello United Methodist Church where she was Treasurer for many years and taught Sunday School to many children. The church is located on Island Ford Road where Doris Ann also lived her life surrounded by, and supportive of, many good, loving and wonderful neighbors.
Doris Ann loved collecting and held a large collection of various glassware. In addition to collecting, she held a life long affection for cats of which she had many. She was a member of the Red Hat Club and a volunteer at Gordon Hospice House.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 22, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Monticello Community Church followed by the funeral service and burial at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Pastor Amy Spivey will conduct the service. Troutman Funeral Home is assisting the funeral ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Monticello Community Church, 308 Island Ford Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
