Doris Ellen Shoemaker Pope, 91, of Salisbury, passed away, Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Compass Health Care in Spencer, NC.

Mrs. Pope was born in Iredell County , September 30, 1930, the daughter of the late, Bobby Boyd Shoemaker and Connie Belle Barker Shoemaker.  She was a graduate of Scotts High School, class of 1949, and on February 8, 1958 she married Clyde R. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Phillip Davis (Kim), Rick Pope, Jr. (Judith), her daughter Susan Pope Simpson (David), her brother, Bob Shoemaker (Phyllis), seven grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
