Doris Lee Houpe Jordan

Doris Lee Houpe Jordan, 89, of Statesville, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

Born on June 30, 1936, in Iredell County, Doris was the daughter of the late Boston Von Houpe and Jessie Lowtharpe Houpe. She dedicated many years of service as a pharmacy clerk at Southside Drug, where she was known for her kindness and friendly smile. Doris was also a faithful member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, where she found great joy in her church family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy H. Loyde, Joan H. Cartner, and Linda H. Burchette; and her brother, Boston Von Houpe, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Dennis Alan Jordan and Rickie Lee Jordan; her daughter, Janet Bentley; her grandchildren, Robert Jordan, Jacob Jordan, and Nichole Lemley; and her great-grandchildren, Constance Jordan and Maddie Lemley. Her family was her greatest pride and blessing.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, at Bethany Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. John Parks.
