Doris J. Ennis

Oct. 3, 1948 - Nov. 11, 2014 Doris Jean Ennis, 66, of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. She was born in Charlotte on October 3, 1948 to the late Carl G. Ballard Jr. and Dorothy Allen Ballard. Mrs. Ennis was a loving mother and grandmother who especially enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and attending their sporting events. She was a Administrative Specialist for IBM. She is survived by her son, Richard Allen McCannell, III (Donna) , of Troutman; sister, Barbara Wilbraham of Charlotte; and grandsons, Tyler Heath and Tristan Bryce McCannell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Jackson. Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Ennis on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1:00 p.m. in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Carr officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Iredell Memorial Gardens.
