Donna Renay (Rudisill) Russell

Donna Renay Rudisill Russell, 52, of Statesville, passed away, Monday, August 2, 2021.

Donna was born September 4, 1968 in Catawba County, NC and is the daughter of Paul and Linda Tutherow Rudisill of Vale, NC. She was a graduate of Western Piedmont Community College with a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She started her career at Davis Hospital as a Medical Lab Technician and later worked as a nurse for many doctors all over North Carolina, most recently with Dr. London in Denver, NC. On August 26, 1989, she married Mark Howard Russell, who survives of Statesville and together they were members of Western Avenue Baptist Church. Donna was a fighter and fought many health issues for over 23 years.

In addition to her husband and parents, Donna is survived by one daughter, Taylor Russell and Jay of Belmont and one brother, Rev. Todd Rudisill and wife Peggy of Lancaster, SC.

Memorial services will be held 2:00pm Friday, August 6, 2021 at Western Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Spry officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 12:30-2:00pm before the service.
