Donald Lewis Scott

Donald Lewis Scott, 87, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Autumn Care of Statesville.

Donald was born on March 25, 1935, in Iredell County and was the son of the late Arthur Scott and Ellen Dishman Scott. He was married to the late Gerry Lou Duncan Scott, who passed away in December of 2021. Donald was a member at Rocky Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Donald was preceded in death by his siblings, C.H. Scott, Elizabeth Pharr, Elise Smith and Margie Hall.

Donald is survived by his three children, Donna Scott, Kevin Scott (Betty) and Lou Ellen Scott; grandchildren, Scott Carter, Aaron Carter, Tammy Perdue (Eric), Karen Weston, David Scott (Crystal) and great grandchildren, Makayla Wike and Levi Scott. Also surviving is his sister, Leona Leggette and brother-in-law, Randy Duncan.

A visitation will be held 1:00 to 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 26 at Rocky Hill Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm with Rev. Andrew Sharpe and Frank Hutchins officiating and honorary officiant, Rev. Henry Cook.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Hill Baptist Church at 823 Mountain View Rd, Statesville, NC 28625.
