David "Ken" Kenneth Shaw

David Kenneth Shaw, 63, of Stanley, went into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Gordon Hospice House.

David was born on October 24, 1959, in Lexington, to the late Aaron Kenneth Shaw and Flora Hartley Shaw. He attended Central Davidson High School. He went on to retire from Kimbrell’s Furniture as an auditor. David loved the Carolina Panthers football, riding his Harley-Davidson, working in his shop and most importantly, he loved to make people smile. He had an infectious smile and big personality that would liven up any room.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Shaw and sister, Jane Shaw.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Patty Shaw; brother, Tony Shaw (Martha); sister, Jean Shaw Reid; sister-in-law, Rachel Shaw; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Harley.

A visitation will be held 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday, April 28, 2023, at Western Avenue Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am with Dr. Andy Lackey and Rev. Dell Cook officiating.
