Daniel Lee Galliher

Daniel Lee Galliher, 60, passed away on September 14, 2026. He was born on September 17, 1965, in Iredell County, to the late Nancy and Glyn Galliher.

Daniel was truly a one-of-a-kind, kind of man. He was the person you called when something was broken because more often than not, he could fix it. He was a talented mechanic and a man who could figure out just about anything. Daniel was someone who could look at a problem and somehow find a way to make it work again. He spent many years working alongside his friend Ricky doing carpentry, where his natural ability to fix, build, and create made him someone who could tackle just about any job. Those years were filled with hard work, friendship, and the satisfaction of creating something with his own two hands. He was always willing to lend a hand and help the people he loved.

Daniel was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. He also had a lifelong love of dirtbike racing, whether he was the one racing or he was watching it on tv - he enjoyed the bikes, the racing, and the excitement that came with it.

But above everything else, Daniel loved his family. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him. He loved watching them grow, spending time with them, and making memories that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. His family will remember his personality, his stories, his sense of humor, his willingness to help, his dance moves, and all those moments that made him uniquely Daniel.

Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lisa Galliher, who passed away in November 2024. He was also preceded in death by his brother Franklin Gantt, (Carolyn, who survives) and his sister Glenda Bell (Paul).

He leaves behind his children, Nikki Galliher, Danielle Campbell (Tim), Benjamin Galliher (Addie), and Duncan Coleman; his grandchildren, Kelsi Coleman, Holdeyn Coleman, Keylei Campbell, Tripp Galliher, Krash Galliher, and Jace Campbell; his great-grandchild, Blayne Colbert; his special fur baby and best friend, Danger-boy.

He is also survived by his brothers, Dean Galliher (Kay), and Michael Galliher (Laura); his sister, Barbara Johnson; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Daniel leaves behind much more than memories. He leaves pieces of himself in his children and grandchildren, in the things he taught them, the many things he fixed, the stories he told, and the countless ways he showed up for the people he loved.

He will be remembered for being the guy who could fix almost anything, his love of dirtbike racing, his unwavering Dallas Cowboys pride, and most importantly, for the love he had for his family.

Though losing him leaves a hole that can never truly be filled, there is comfort in knowing that Daniel is no longer alone. After nearly two years apart, he is finally reunited with Lisa.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at New Salem United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm.
