Dan Graham Wiles, Sr.

Dan Graham Wiles, Sr., 89, of Statesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Dan was born on June 10, 1936, in Alleghany County, to the late Luther Wiles and Letha May Parsons Wiles. He was a 1954 graduate of Hawthorne High School in California, and a veteran of the US Marines. On October 1, 1960, he married Mary Josey Wiles, who preceded him in death. He was a member of Front Street Baptist Church and was a retired Electrician. He formerly worked for Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, FCX, and Grinnell Fire Protection.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dan was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Wiles.

Those left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Debbie W. Poole (Dale); a son, Dan G. Wiles, Jr.; his grandchildren, Danielle P. Barnes (Jeff), Deven Poole (Diana), Crystal Hanes (Jake), Summer Wiles and Graham Wiles, along with his great-grandchildren, Jaxon Barnes, Delaney Barnes, Salem Poole, Stella Poole, Daniela Poole and Sebastian Jorge Corza.

A private family service will be held at the Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.
