Connelly Warren

Connelly Warren, 84 of Statesville, passed away at this home, Wednesday, April 5, 2023

Mr. Warren was born September 4, 1938, the son of the late Crowson Warren and Omie Gant Warren.  He attended Celeste Henkel High School, was a truck driver with Public Oil and worked on his family farm.  In October of 1960 Connelly married his beloved wife of 62 years, Patricia Smith Warren.  He loved entertaining and BBQing with his family.  Connelly dearly loved his family, and his motto was “the more the merrier”!

In addition to his parents Connelly was predeceased by his brothers, Hartsell Warren and Landon Warren, and a sister, Linda Sharpe.

Those left to cherish Mr. Warren’s memory include his wife Pat, his children Dale Warren, Lori Warren (Tim Odom), Candace Campbell, Kelly Warren (Barbara), his bonus son, Donald Dewald, his grandchildren, Jessica Harris (Jonathan), Jon Dewald, Sydney Green (Jonathan), Joseph Campbell (Lillian), Jacob Campbell, his 6 great grandchildren, Julie and Jordan Harris, Astrid Green, Oliver Campbell, Bella and Grant Harris, his sister, Brenda Whitener, and his four legged companion, George.

A funeral service for Connelly Warren will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Monday, April 10, 2023, at Unity Baptist Church, Rev. James Keever will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 pm-3:00 pm prior to the service.
