Clarence R. Steele

Clarence R. Steele, 86, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2026, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Clarence was born on July 8, 1939, in English, West Virginia, to the late Cecil and Corby England Steele. He found great joy in woodworking and yard work, and he loved driving his truck. Above all, he cherished spending time in the mountains.

In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by five siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Brenda McDaniels Steele; stepdaughter, Christina M. Hedrick; brother, Donald Steele (Gladys); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with Clarence’s wishes, there will be no services.
