Clara Bell (Everidge) Jenkins

Clara Bell Everidge Jenkins, 91, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Maple Leaf Health Care.

Clara was born in Iredell County, March 27, 1931, the daughter of the late James Winfield Everidge and Pearl Shumaker Everidge.  She attended Harmony School and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Clara was a homemaker and was talented at needle work and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her former husband, Grady Jenkins, her siblings, Grady Everidge, Paul Everidge, Bill Everidge, Roland Everidge, Bruce Everidge, Hal Everidge and Ruby Everidge Taylor.

Those left to cherish Clara’s memory include her daughter, Patricia Reavis Bowling (David), of Holly Hill, FL., two grandchildren, John Eckerson (Jennifer) and Robert Bowling (Sheri), four great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.   Also surviving are her brother, Bobby Everidge, her sister, Lucy Everidge Mason and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service celebrating the life of Clara Jenkins will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Harmony, NC.  The Reverend Cliff Gwaltney will officiate.
