Charles Kenneth Threatte

Charles Kenneth Threatte, 68, of Statesville, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at his home.

Kenneth was born on November 4, 1954, son of the late Benjamin Jackson Threatte and Betty Jean Rumple Threatte. Mr. Threatte was a graduate of Statesville High School, attended Mitchell College and proudly served in the US Navy. He was a member of Landmark Church of God. Kenneth’s greatest joy and blessing in his life was his family, he was an exceptional husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed playing golf, riding Harley Davidsons and above all, loved his Lord and Savior.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Stroud and brothers, Michael Threatte and Benjamin Threatte.

Those left to cherish Kenneth’s memory include his wife of fouty-three years, Donna Houpe Threatte, his children, Josh Threatte (Keisha) and Kristy Threatte, his grandchildren, Savannah Davis, Abi Quinlan and Nevin Haggerty. Also surviving are his siblings, Steve Threatte (Nancy), Bonnie Lackey (Jerry), Jeannie McLain, Jerry Threatte (Missy), sister-in-law, Debbie Threatte and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 11:00 am at Troutman Funeral Home with Rev. James Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Kenneth’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
