Charles Steven Cavin, Sr

Charles Steven Cavin, Sr, 81, of Troutman, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Charles was born on November 25, 1942, in Iredell County to the late Ralph Glenn and Leona Wilkenson Cavin. He was a hard-working man who was a devoted father and grandfather. Charles loved people, especially his family, and never met a stranger. He could often be found reading his Bible on his porch or riding around listening to gospel music.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son Michael Cavin, brothers RG and Larry Cavin and sister Mozelle Lambert.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Diane Mullis Cavin, his son, Steven Cavin, his daughter, Amy Hauser (Todd) and daughter-in-law, Kim Cavin. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Joey Holshouser (Ashleigh), Josh Reiman (Megan), Ashley Haynes (Kyle), Tanner Cavin, Landon Cavin and Jacob Holshouser and numerous great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Troutman Funeral Home with Pastor Trent Patterson officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.
