Cecil R. Sherrill

Cecil R. Sherrill, age 89, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2021. He was the husband of the late Irene Wilhelm Sherrill and the son of the late Rowe Monroe and Daisy Mae Sells Sherrill.

He was a faithful member of Western Avenue Baptist Church and was a graduate of Statesville High School. He was a longtime salesman for C. F. Sauers Company. Cecil dearly loved his family.

He is survived by one sister, Sue Sherrill (Bobby) Everidge and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Spry will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given in Cecil's name to, Western Ave Baptist Church, 1206 Museum RD., Statesville, NC 28625 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
