Cecil Howard Maynor Jr

November 18, 1931 - December 18, 2018 Cecil Howard Maynor Jr., 87, passed away at Gordon Hospice House on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Cecil was born in Lillybrook, West Virginia on November 18, 1931 to the late Cecil Howard Maynor Sr., and Lola Maynor. He was the oldest of seven children. Cecil honorably served in the U.S Air Force for four years. He enjoyed playing Baseball for the Air Force and during his college days at Virginia Tech. Cecil worked as a salesman for Romac Metals for almost 30 years, as well as other steel companies. He loved to play golf in his free time at Twin Oaks. Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara Maynor; sons, Scott and wife Angela Maynor, Cecil Howard Maynor III; and granddaughters, Maddie Maynor, Jessie M. McNeill and husband Billy, all who will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends at Troutman Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Alliance for Mental Illness, PO Box 49104, Baltimore, MD 21297.
