Statesville

Caroline McInnis Bramley of Statesville, North Carolina passed away peacefully on March 1st 2025. Caroline was a resident of Statesville for more than 28 years. She was a beloved wife and mother. Her faith, family and friends were the joys of her life. Caroline was born in Washington Georgia on June 4th, 1934, to Angus Guy and Nancy (Caroline) Douglas McInnis. She was the daughter of a Presbyterian Minister. Her youth was spent in Georgia and Florida. She attended Stetson University in DeLand Florida where she graduated with a degree in Education. While in Florida, she met her future husband Craig McNall (Bud) Bramley. Caroline and Craig were married on July 11th, 1956. After marriage, Caroline’s priorities shifted from that of a teacher to being a mother. She became the mother of 4 sons, Craig, Doug, Gary and Chuck. She was a supportive Den Mother, Homeroom Mother, Cheerleader, Taxi Driver, Consoler and friend. Her boys always knew she would be there for them when they needed her. Her life’s purpose became making sure her children were as happy and fulfilled as they could be. As her boys grew, her interests expanded to include involvement in Book Clubs, Investment Clubs and involvement in her church. Her engagement in these activities was handled with the same grace she handled all aspects of her life. In retirement, Caroline and Bud relocated to Statesville where they found a new home. They remained active in the community for many years. Caroline was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2011. During the remainder of her life, although it was much simpler, she remained the same gracious and kind individual until her death. Caroline is preceded in death by her Father Angus Guy McInnis, her Mother Nancy (Caroline) Douglas McInnis, her brother Dr. Angus McInnis and her husband Craig McNall (Bud) Bramley. She is survived by sons Craig McInnis Bramley (spouse Jennifer Sponholtz Bramley), Douglas McNall Bramley, Gary Floyd Bramley and William Charles (Chuck) Bramley (spouse Tammy Houston Bramley). Caroline is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2PM Saturday March 15th at the First Presbyterian Church, Statesville North Carolina.
