Carol Ann Giles Shaver

April 28, 1959 - March 29, 2017 Carol Ann Giles Shaver, 57, of Statesville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Carol was born on April 28, 1959 in San Antonio, TX to the late Lois Helms Giles and Robert Giles. Carol was a member of Lighthouse Independent Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, she loved her Lord and Savior. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debora Giles, and her brothers, Sam Giles and Junior Giles. She is survived by her son, Jonhugh Dakota Shaver ( Kendall Paige Maurer) of Statesville; ex-husband and best friend, Randy Shaver of Statesville, step-father, William (Bill) Helms of Statesville; step-sisters, Lisa Helms of Statesville and Joni Caldwell of Statesville; step-brothers, William Giles of ME and Bubba Giles of CO; nieces, Crystal Cromeans of AR, Shannon Morgaw of LA, and Amber Caldwell of Statesville; special great nephew, Nathan Cromeans of AR, and numerous other relatives and friends, especially those at Jurney’s Assisted Living. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially the many children that she encountered during her years of working in child care. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Lighthouse Independent Methodist Church. A celebration of life service will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Rev.
