Carol Ann (Vega) Moore

Carol Ann Moore, 82, born on May 17, 1941 of Statesville, N.C. Passed away peacefully at her home with her family by side. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Marion Vega. In addition to her parents Carol was preceded in death by her grandson Joseph  Green IV. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband William J Moore Sr.and her sister Joan O’Connor. Her daughter Joan Houston (Timothy), son William Moore III (Mary), daughter Doreen Melton (Russ), daughter Kathy Green (Joseph), and daughter Kristen Eagleston (Paul). As well as eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Carol started her career off as a New York City Radio City Rockette following her love for dance. She married and began raising her family. Her love for children, she raised twelve other children in one fashion or another throughout the years. Carol’s love for her family was her greatest blessing and joy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Troutman Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Moore will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank all those that cared for Carol during her illness and those friends who loved her in her lifetime. Troutman Funeral Home is serving the family.
