Carol Ann Clark Lofton

March 29, 1940 - May 22, 2018 Carol Ann Clark Lofton, 78, of Troutman, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Serenity House in Mooresville surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 29, 1940 to the late John Clark and Mary Mcelroy Clark. She moved with her family and spent 28 years in Middletown, NJ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Joseph Lofton. Carol was an avid knitter and loved to bake. Her blueberry pies would often win first prize at local fairs. Carol volunteered with her church and was of the Episcopal faith. She was heavily involved with youth soccer programs in Middletown, NJ. She also worked for the Middletown Township municipal office in various functions for over 15 years. She is survived her sons, Frank (Alicia) Lofton of Hawaii, Paul Lofton of Texas, and Joseph Lofton of New Jersey; daughter, Laura (Dan) Farrell of Troutman; sister, Barbara (Frank) Ingoglia; brother, Jack (Carol) Clark; and grandchildren, Shannol Marie Farrell, Brittany Lynn Farrell and Tristen Connor Lofton, all who will miss her dearly. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Watermark Church, 321 Clontz Hill Road, Troutman, NC 28166 on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Serenity House, 110 Centre Church Road, Mooresville, NC 28117.
