Carol Hamilton

Sarah “Carol” Alexander Hamilton, 70, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Carol was born in Iredell County on February 12, 1954, to the late James Watt Alexander and Mary Joanne Martin Alexander.

She was a great lady who spent her life caring for others. She worked for EMS, was a nurse at Davis Hospital, as well as a traveling nurse for a number of years. She was a member of First ARP Church of Statesville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Hamilton, and her brother, Carl Alexander.

Those left to cherish her memory are the father of her children, Joe Blevins; daughter, Jenny Eckliff; son, Patrick Blevins; sisters, Glinda Helms and Susan Cox; sister-in-law, Teresa Alexander; grandchildren, Noah Eckliff, Dylan Eckliff and Caroline Eckliff.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday December 29 at First ARP Church, officiated by Rev. Chuck Evans. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
