Carmine Pellegrino

Carmine Pellegrino, 65, of Statesville, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 14, 2010. He was born in Cerisano in the province of Cosenza, Italy on August 19, 1945 to Floniza and the late Salvatore Pellegrino. He was employed by General Motors for 30 years and retired to Statesville to be with his family. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, movies, cooking and eating. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucia, of the home; three sons, Salvatore and Giovanni of Statesville and Roberto of Mooresville; two daughter-in-laws, Regina of Statesville and Yvette of Mooresville; two brothers, Silvio of New Jersey and Michael of Italy; and six grandchildren, Giancarlo, Dante, Juliana, Giovanni, Salvatore and Sophia. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Troutman Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. Mass will be on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Statesville with the Father Kurt Fohn officiating. Interment will follow at Iredell Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of your choice or Barium Springs Home for Children, P. O.
