Brenda Stone

Brenda Sue Mason Stone, 79, of Statesville passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024.

Brenda was born April 15, 1945, in northern Iredell County to the late Bub Wiley and Ida Branton Mason. A graduate of Central High School, Brenda worked in manufacturing for over 50 years.  Brenda found a home and church family at Monticello Baptist Church in Statesville.

In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband, Edsel R. Stone, her brothers Bob Mason and Bryant Mason, sisters Barbara Stone, Betty Shook, and Bessy Josey.

Those left to miss her greatly and cherish her memory are sons, Michael Stone and Dwayne Stone, granddaughter Megan Stone of Jacksonville, NC and grandsons Jonathan Stone of Anchorage, Alaska, Jared Stone (Meredith) of Raleigh, N.C., Evan Stone (Ashley) of Statesville, N.C., great-granddaughters Aubree Grace and Emersyn Jane Stone, brothers Barry Mason and Bill Mason (Cheryl), two very special sisters-in-law, Rosa Triplette and Carol Mason, brother-in-law Larry Stone, many nieces and nephews, and a precious fur baby Lillie

A celebration of life will be held Monday, January 13, 2025, at Monticello Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Terry Rausch.
