Brenda Orren

Brenda Campbell Orren, 78, passed from this physical life of confusion and suffering into the spiritual life of peace and being in the presence of our Lord, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Brenda was born April 25, 1946, in Iredell County and was the youngest of seven children of the late J. Lee Campbell and Jettie Reid Campbell. Brenda was also preceded in death by brothers, Billy, Roy and Wade Campbell, and sisters, Virginia Drye and Martha Feimster.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Drye; husband of 60 years, David Orren; daughter, Karen O. Watson and husband, Doug; granddaughter, Elizabeth Nanney and husband, Hunter; grandson, Jeffrey Brawley and wife, Dakota; great granddaughter, Brawley Nanney; great grandson, John Hunter Nanney, and several nieces and nephews.

Brenda was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and worked faithfully in the nursery department before her extended illness prevented her from attending.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 6 at Troutman Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Green officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Park.
