Brenda Hamilton Hartline

Brenda Hamilton Hartline, age 84, of Statesville, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. She was the wife of the late Jackie Hartline and the daughter of the late John G. and Helen Setzer Hamilton.

She was a longtime member of Western Avenue Baptist Church and was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School. Brenda retired from the Iredell Statesville School System as a Teacher Assistant. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She dearly loved her family.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by one half-brother, John Garland Hamilton Jr.

Brenda is survived by her four children, daughter, Dawn Boyd; son, Lee Hartline; daughter, Lynne Rainwater; and daughter, Hope Hartline. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Brandon Hartline, Megan Hartline, Justin Boyd, Michaela Boyd Kelley (Leigh Ann), Abbey Rainwater, and Halle Rainwater; and one great granddaughter, Veronica Hartline. Four sisters, Kay Brown, Jane Troutman, Jackie Morrison, and Mary Craig and one brother, Johnny Hamilton also survive as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Western Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Spry officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2: 30 pm.
