Brenda Mae (Thomas) Cook

Brenda Mae Thomas Cook, 80, of Troutman, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Brenda was born on September 3, 1943, in Iredell County to the late Marvin Orville Thomas and Lillian Mae Booth Thomas. She was a member of Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church and worked as a phlebotomist for Carolina Medical Center and LabCorp. She loved crocheting baby bonnets, reading, talking to “Alexa”, and dearly loved her family.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Cook, children, John “Bo” Talbert and Barbara and brother, Tommy Thomas.

Those left to cherish Brenda’s memory include her daughter, Dawne Justice (Michael), her son, Jeff Shue (Cathy), her sister, Sandra Aycoth and her two grandchildren, Chad Honeycutt and Christian Talbert. Also surviving are her five great grandchildren, Matthew, Bailey, Charlie, Lili, Evan and her great great granddaughter, Naomi.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church with Rev. Trent Patterson officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.
