Brenda West Cavin

Brenda West Cavin, 74, of Statesville, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025, at her home.

Brenda was born August 25, 1950, in Iredell County, to the late Gilbert West and Vetre Poole West. She loved working in her yard with her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Cavin, and brothers, Terry West and Tommy West.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sharon Byrd (Mickey); sons, Jonathan Cavin (Carrie) and Marty Cavin (Elizabeth); sisters, Teresa Earp (Terry) and Diane Tromba (Edward); grandchildren, Stephanie Maylish (Andy), Laura Foss (Tommy), Landen Cavin (Kimberly), Logen McAlister (William), and Toby Cavin; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00 am at Troutman First United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
