Brandy Denise Eckliff

Brandy Denise Eckliff, 38, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 21, 2019 following an automobile accident.

Brandy was born September 2, 1980 in Charleston, SC and was the daughter of the late Timothy Avery Eckliff and Imogene Fowler Eckliff. She was a graduate of North Iredell High School, class of 98’ and was employed by Piedmont Healthcare as a medical assistant with Dr. Joseph Moran’s practice for the last 20 years. She also worked with Southern Health Partners in the Iredell County Jail.

Brandy is survived by her long-time companion, Nicholas Coombes of Statesville, one son, Lucas Coombes, one daughter, Alyssa Coombes; her grandmother, Margie Johnson, one sister, Kristina E. Griffin; one brother, Mark Fisher; four uncles, Keith Fowler, William Eckliff, Glenn Eckliff, Jack Eckliff; three aunts, Melba Wurthmann, Jeannie Pharr, Cindy Matthews; the Coombes family, Kim Mandigo (Brian), Dale Coombes, Pauline Coombes, Autumn Coombes Mahaffey (Michael), Drew Coombes (Veronica) and Lacy Mandigo.

Brandy loved playing soccer, the outdoors, canoeing and camping, animals, the beach and spending time with friends and family, especially playing football with them on Thanksgiving. She loved live music and to dance.  She has the sweetest soul and had an ever-present smile on her face, but nothing brought her more joy or happiness than her kids.

A celebration of life service will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Western Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Bushey officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Western Avenue Baptist Church.
