Blake Hoover

Nov. 2, 1922 - May 18, 2015 Mr. Blake Knubel Hoover, 92, of Troutman, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015. He was born in Iredell County to the late Ora Combs and James Edward Hoover. He graduated from Troutman High School and worked at Blanton & Moore for many years before retiring. Blake was a loving father who particularly enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and his pecan trees. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Hoover Meinert and husband, Thomas, of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Tommy Meinert and wife, Christine, of Boxford, MA, Shaina Meinert of Charlotte, and Dustin Meinert of Miami, FL; and two great granddaughters, Madison and Abby Meinert of Boxford, MA. The family will receive friends from 11:30 - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dieter Punt and the Rev. Tom Corbell officiating. Interment will be in Iredell Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 308, Troutman, NC 28166.
