Billy Ray Lipe

Billy Ray Lipe, 75, of Troutman, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.

Billy was born on August 18, 1947, in Iredell County, son of the late Brady and Rachel Russ Lipe. He enjoyed driving his truck and listening to bluegrass music.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his former wife, Sharon Lipe. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Michael Lipe, stepdaughter, Dare (Chris), grandson, Justin Lipe, sisters, Vickie Cranford (Andrew), Carolyn “Cotton” Link, brother, Bobby “BJ” Lipe and serveal nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 10 at Troutman Funeral Home from 12:00 to 12:30 pm with funeral services to follow at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens, Rev. Matthew Cranford will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County at 2347 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625.
