Billie S. Yount

February 20, 1936 - September 4, 2013 Mrs. Billie Clonch Yount, 77, of Statesville, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. She was born in Wilkes County, NC, to the late Fannie Blackburn and Royal Clonch. She graduated from Mountain View High School and worked at Belks for many years before retiring. Billie was a very strong, loving, caring, Christian woman who loved many and was loved by many. She will be missed dearly. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Deanna) Yount of North Augusta, SC, and Bryan (Rhonda)Yount of Statesville, NC; sister, Sadie Queen of N. Wilkesboro, NC; brother, Joe Clonch (Alice) of N. Wilkesboro, NC; and three grandchildren, Jarrett Yount, Ashlyn Yount, and Blake Strawhorn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Thomas (Tom) Yount. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 with the Revs. Harvey Mozolak and Melvin Blackburn officiating. Interment will be in Iredell Memorial Park. Pallbearers for the service will be Bryan Yount, Michael Yount, Jarrett Yount, Ronald Queen, Terrance Queen, and Joe Clonch. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Isenhour, Jonathan Isenhour, Blake Strawhorn, Ashlyn Yount, and Johnny Rogers. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation at http://www.arthritis.org .
