Bertha Cronce

Bertha Stone Cronce, 90, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House. She was born on October 14, 1934, in Stewartsville, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late John and Edith Mowery Stone of New Jersey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ben Cronce, along with two sisters and two brothers,

Bertha was a homemaker and loving mother to six children. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Deborah Struble (William) of Troy, PA, Diana Cronce of Statesville, Laura Walkup (Michael) of Maiden, NC, Roy Cronce Jr. (Cindy) of Statesville, Amy Brewster (Bud) of Wilkesboro, and Mark Cronce (Melody) of Statesville. She also had 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
