Benjamin Yates

On September 8, 2024, Benjamin Michael Yates, 45,  passed into the presence of the Lord surrounded by his loving family. Ben was preceded in death by his mother, Lesia Crawford Houck; his father, Michael Earl Yates; and his stepfather, Kenneth James Houck. Left behind are his siblings Karen Payne (Jeffrey), Emily Miller, Kenneth Houck, Jr. , and Amanda Price (Justin); nieces and nephews Madeline Huynh (Kevin), Phoebe Payne, Wesley and Zane Miller, Joel Price and Quinn Price; great nieces Mabel and Lucy Huynh; several aunts and uncles; and his “best friend in the whole world, Angela” Martin.

It is because of Ben’s trust in the finished work of Christ and His merit alone Ben’s family can celebrate with full assurance he is now safe in the presence of the Savior. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (2 Cor. 5:8)

His siblings are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family and friends. While we all will miss Ben for a long time, please join us in celebrating his peaceful passage into the joy of heaven.

A visitation will be held at New Amity AR Presbyterian Church in Statesville from 10:30-12:00 on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
