Bailey Shawn Rogers

Bailey Shawn Rogers, 19, of Mocksville, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 1, 2026, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Bailey was born on September 10, 2006, in Iredell County. He is survived by his loving parents, Amanda Rogers and Andrew Pierce; his cherished grandparents, David and Starr Burgess; along with countless family members, friends, and all who were blessed to know and love him. Bailey was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Danny Shawn Rogers.

From the day Bailey was born, he lived life wide open. He was fearless, adventurous, and always on the go. He never met a stranger, and if you knew Bailey, you knew he loved to talk. He had a way of making people laugh, brightening every room he entered, and making everyone feel like a friend. His smile, sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Above all else, Bailey loved the Lord. Though, like many young men, he made his share of teenage mistakes, his heart belonged to God. His family finds peace and comfort in knowing that Bailey had accepted Christ as his Savior and rested securely in God's promises. As Scripture reminds us, no one can snatch His children from His hand, and Bailey's name is written in the Book of Life. That assurance brings hope in the midst of unimaginable sorrow.

Bailey was one of the hardest-working young men you could meet. While still in high school, he worked at 1812 Hitching Post and Take 5 Oil Change. Most recently, he worked as a mechanic at Smith's Excavating in Mocksville while continuing to work at 1812 Hitching Post in Harmony. He took great pride in earning everything he had through hard work and determination.

His love for farm life began as a little boy. You could usually find him covered in mud from head to toe, helping milk cows, feeding livestock, or gathering cattle on sale days. Some of his happiest memories were made at the farm with his Pawpaw, whom he loved dearly. As he grew older, he spent countless hours at the shop with him, working on trucks, fixing anything they could, and simply enjoying each other's company.

Bailey had a passion for diesel trucks and motorcycles. He was incredibly proud of his Chevrolet Duramax and his motorcycle, both of which he had worked hard to purchase with cash. He believed in earning what he wanted, and he enjoyed every minute of the life he built for himself. Whether he was turning wrenches, riding back roads, or spending time with friends and family, Bailey lived every day to the fullest.

Anyone who knew Bailey knew that he almost always had grease on his hands or mud on his boots because he was always working on something. His mother often joked that he was a "social butterfly," but it wasn't until after his passing that his family truly realized just how many lives he had touched. The overwhelming outpouring of love has shown the incredible impact Bailey had on so many people. He leaves behind a place in countless hearts that can never be filled.

Bailey was full of life, full of laughter, and full of love. He was stubborn, strong-willed, proud, and every bit the spirited teenager he was meant to be. Those who loved him would not have wanted him any other way. Though his time on earth was far too short, the memories he created, the joy he shared, and the love he gave will live on forever.

In the midst of this heartbreaking loss, Bailey's family holds tightly to one prayer—that even through this tragedy, someone might come to know the Lord. Bailey loved God, and there is no greater legacy than seeing others place their faith in Jesus Christ. If even one person finds hope, salvation, and eternal life because of Bailey's story, his family believes that God can bring purpose even from unimaginable sorrow.

They look forward with hope to that glorious reunion day in Heaven, where they will see Bailey again and be reunited with family and friends who have also placed their faith in Christ. Until then, they pray that every family member, friend, and loved one will come to know Christ as their Savior, because Bailey would want nothing more than to spend eternity with those, he loved—and to make them laugh once again.

The Celebration of Life service will be Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church Davie Academy Road Mocksville, NC. 

 Tractors, diesel trucks and motorcycles welcome to make some big noise for Baileys send off.
