Annie Malcolm Luffman, 88, of Troutman, passed away on June 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family.
Born on July 19, 1936, Ann was a 1954 graduate of Troutman High School. She was the beloved daughter of the late Adam and Willie Hoover Malcolm.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Avery Luffman; her siblings Jane Ervin, Nathalie Cook, Betty Bass, Kenneth Malcolm, Junior Malcolm, Dean Malcolm, and Willard Malcolm; and her son-in-law, Dave Talbert.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Debbie Talbert; grandchildren Anna Murdock (Matthew) and Jonathan Talbert; and three great-grandsons who kept her smiling —Willy, Malachi, and Camden Murdock. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Brenda Murdock (Charles), aunt, Pauline Mills, and many friends and extended family.
Ann was known for her warmth, kindness, and exceptional talent in the kitchen. Her red velvet pound cake was a favorite at every gathering.
A celebration of her life will be held at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Statesville, where Ann was a faithful member. Visitation will take place at 12:00 on Thursday, June 5, with the service following at 1:00. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
In honoring Ann’s memory, we celebrate a life well lived—filled with faith, family, and a generous heart that touched everyone she met.
